About Me

Hi! I am Emma Cox.

 

I am currently a Senior at Western Kentucky University, earning a BFA in Performing Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre. While at WKU, I have fallen in love with many areas of theater including performance, stage management, producing, and solo performance. I have performed in Aglaonike's Tiger in 2019, and Revuesicals in 2017. My stage management credits include the Fall 2018 production of Hair, New Works and Studio Series Shows, and Winterdance 2020. I have also served as a student producer on the Plays in a Day Festival. Professional opportunities include a stage management internship at Nashville Children’s Theatre in 2019 and an Administrative Internship at Studio Tenn Theatre Company in 2020. I look forward to continuing my growth as a theatre artist in every facet of the business. I will graduate in May 2021.

 

My Catholic Faith is another important aspect of my life and my art. I desire to create work and perform in shows that promote what is true, good, and beautiful. Currently, I am writing a solo performance centering on St. Joan of Arc, and I hope to continue writing about Catholic Saints in the future. Art has the unique ability to draw us towards the beauty in the world and in ourselves, despite the messiness that comes with it. I hope that what I create can lead others to search for and ultimately find the truth.
